Construction & fit-out of luxury spa facility
As part of David Lloyd's elite spa masterplan, the spacious spa retreat and spa garden offers Northwood members access to luxury spa facilities typically reserved for the global elite. The brand new area features everything needed to escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The program included the strip out and demolition of redundant club areas, superstructure alterations and the addition of a new link corridor building to connect the existing club facilities to the new spa.
The new spa centre followed the elite spa blueprint (see Project Royal Berkshire), to deliver a sensory immersive experience through hydro pool, plunge pool, Himalayan salt and Finnish saunas, an ice cave and deep relaxation pods and lounge spaces. The spa garden delivered sauna & showers, a spa pool, a timber meditation space, construction of a new outdoor pool, lounge and landscaped terrace.
